Master Musician player Bass ....The Great and Genius ...Mr.Billy Wyman 🤘🤘👍👍
Love the talent of this man
Pity he's all but inaudible on most studio recordings and most official live recordings which is ridiculous as he makes Keith and the whole band sound much better when he is audible
I have the CD and a MB. No need for this.
Woman was a genius
It seemed like it was always standard procedure to mix the bass deep into the background on R.S. music.
Sheesh, had no idea the guy could play like this! His parts are all buried. This is sick.
Bill always downplayed his bass skills, but I think he was a great bassist.
Are we sure this is Bill and not Keith? Keith played a lot of the bass on these albums.
Fantastic!
PEDOFILOS...
This is the reason why I crank up the bass on my stereo when I listen to the Stones and why Bill Wyman is my favorite Stone.
Desculpa pela demora de 12 anos
Haha, if you listen to the first notes of the song, an similar bass playing from guns roses can be heard, so im quit shure duff mc cagan had influences from 70s rockbands like the stones, the who or deep purple, the song is an Testament of the rs great writing and playing style.
Andy Rourke of the Smiths (RIP) has said that Bill was one of his favorite players and a major influence.
I loved this music
Foi de letra muda o título pra não passar vergonha
I love Stones.but not Stones without Bill and Charie😢
Savage go Bill
God Bless
The Beatles original version is still my favorite. Because I heard it as a teenager when it was released. But George Benson version is brilliant. Also, Billy Ocean version is great too. Brother Ray has a great style of his own and adds his own unique style of magic to any song.
00:08 Thats Jamie Foxx not Ray Charles😝😆😄🥳

@@discoverydiscos8688Verdade! Principalmente por ter homenageado o Rio de Janeiro
Great bass player.
The stones never sounded the same when Bill left, his style fit the stones perfectly.
Bill et Charlie ! : la meilleure section rythmique Rock de tout les temps !❤
This was really different to hear just Bill's Base isolated so we could really hear it and I was glad to be able to do so. His new group is also great to listen to and watch performing in his 60+ years of playing.
Bill Wyman was a good bass player.
Is there someone out of tune?
I never thought of this song to be such a bassy song. Geez. Turn it up a bit so it stands out! We’re missing out on this line. And here I thought Keith had all the creative bass lines.
Roots, 3rds, 5ths, 7ths, walks - everything that is required of a great bass player - no more, no less. If understated rather than in your face is the criteria, then Bill is the best there is. Bill is too cool for the hype, he doesn't have anything to prove.
How did he get away with that
My Favourite. Most underrated bassist of all time.
Unfortunetaly, you can't hear clearly all off that fine bass lines, because of the quiet not good quality of recording of stones records in that time, anyway, and there was no comparison between beatles and stones recordings quality. Quality of recordings was not the most important issue of stones records. Please listen ".. standing in the shadow". Great song, terrble quality. Even Beggars Banquet sound couldnt reproduções the high quality of music. 😢 That's why it was dificult to hear well all tha quality of Bill and Brian, ar least

I miss your old content please make new uploads btw this is my new main channel on youtube
KnightRiderKARR has put up a version of this song with the bass turned up quite a bit. So you get to hear the song but you can actually hear Bill’s part in it. Gotta say though it’s great to hear the bass all by itself.
Bicho grosso
Like Jamerson and Dunn more so than his Brit Beat peers...played tastefully served the song
You are just TOO Cute 🤷
Charlie Watts is very tight and really does drive the song forward. Bill Wyman is loose. I know that this is a minority point of view. The more notable Stones bass lines are played by Keith Richards. On Gimme Shelter, Watts is keeping it more simple with drum strikes in a 1-2-3-4- when coming up from A, B, C Sharp; but Wyman doubles to two notes and thus does not work with Watts. Charlies drum pattern is what drives Gimme Shelter. The other Stones like him but I hear a bass player who is not working together with Watts whose part is the back bone of the song.

Bill Wyman was my inspiration to pick up the Bass 50 years ago. He is one of the most grossly underrated bassist of all time. Him and Watts were the backbone of the Stones. No disrespect to Daryl Jones who is a phenomenal bassist but Bill was meant for the Stones.
Excellent comment, well said!
It’s a really galloping bass line. And he mixes it up nicely.
Probably one of the most sophisticated/refined bass player ever.
That goes counter to the post I just read "most underrated..." I'm totally confused now! Which is it?
At least, in rock/blues.
Bill poked 14 year old ass
Getty Lee said he really looked up to Bill Wymans bass playing. That says a lot right there.
Quite the sprightly bit of bass work there. Must have listened to that tune a million times and never realized what was lurking beneath all the sound and fury. “Let It Bleed” is the Stones magnum opus, IMO. Everything about it, from the cover art to the songwriting, performance and production is stellar.
